Marvel’s Doctor Strange, Forrest Gump, and Inglourious Basterds are a few of the great movies coming to Netflix in May 2017!

May is going to be one of the best months for TV on Netflix, but there are also a few good movies joining the streaming service in May, including Forrest Gump, Marvel’s Doctor Strange, and Inglourious Basterds.

All of the movies listed below have a chance to make our rankings of the 50 Best Movies on Netflix. In fact, most of them will be added to the ranking when they are available to stream on Netflix.

The biggest new movie joining the ranking is Marvel’s Doctor Strange, which is scheduled to be released on the streaming service on Tuesday, May 30, which also happens to be the same day as House of Cards season 5. My advice is watch Doctor Strange and then dive into House of Cards, but the choice is yours.

More netflix: 50 Best Movies on Netflix 

Netflix is also adding Forrest Gump and Inglourious Basterds back in May. Each film was recently removed, so it is nice to see the films coming back to the streaming service.

New additions for May also include Southpaw and The Place Beyond the Pines. To our knowledge, these are first-time additions to the streaming service!

Netflix’s War Machine starring Brad Pitt also has an opportunity to make our ranking of the 50 Best Movies on Netflix. We have not heard many bad things about the movie yet, so if it is good enough, it will be added to the ranking!

There are many more great movies on the way to Netflix in June 2017. We are expecting Disney’s Moana to be released in June, and that’s in addition to all the great shows streaming on Netflix in June including Orange is the New Black season 5 and many more.
